I think there is also a difference between Johnny and Justin.
Even though Depp is more famous it took quite a while until he was able to tell his story. And his drug abuse and also the videos showed his dark sides. Amber is absolutely crazy .. but Johnny was not completely innocent either.
Justin on the other hand is absolutely innocent and had a good reputation. I think he could recover better than Johnny just because there is no doubt he is a good person. And once they all see that Blake and Ryan are crazy .. he hopefully will recover. Now a lot of people know him and saw what good person he is.
