Every time I hear him singing “she’s like the wind”, I think to myself, that he had a great voice.

    RIP Patrick!

  2. There’s something you need to know about Vida…

Edit: thanks for the award! Too Wong Foo, Thanks for Everything! Julie Newmar is one of my favorite movies.

  3. Another example of how American society and Pop Culture has went backwards in progressiveness

    I love the Swayze!

He’s the only man my hetero boomer dad will ever, surprisingly often and usually unprompted, admit is an incredibly attractive man….and whenever Swayze is brought up in convo, he **always** mentions how hot he was in drag in *To Wong Foo, Thanks For Everything Julie Newmar*. ☺️

  5. He was my first crush in ninth grade and I even did a scrapbook about him as an autobiography for my English class. I did get an A plus too !

I even had that Dirty Dancing soundtrack ! It was so good! I still have the CD 😂

  6. My child’s father is a pancreatic cancer survivor and we talk about Patrick Swayze a lot. Alex Trebec also. So many good people taken by such a terrible disease.

  7. Sorry to be the “well actually” but it wasn’t US Weekly in 1995, it was US, a monthly magazine about celebrities and movies. When they rebranded in 2000, it became a weekly format and more gossip focused. Yes, I am old.

  8. Bad photo, emasculating, compositionally boring. Pop culture trash recycling over and over through out the years. Totally normal by today’s standards.

Ugh yes, I grew up watching To Wong Foo… because it was one of our few VHS tapes!
and this post is how I found out he was a huge animal lover/dog person “I don’t keep track of time…The segments of my life are in movies or animal generations” omg what a sweet man he was
