I think JB isn’t going to be back for a minute. I actually don’t think Blake Lively is done either. She could play any villain in any movie today. If they redid mommy dearest and she was casted as the lead it would do good. JB is going to be a minute because betrayal wasn’t just lively: Claire, Liz plank, Jenny slate, Brandon, Isabella, the trainer are all people who EASILY threw him under the bus.

I don’t think Justin Baldoni has been canceled, almost from the beginning We have all believed in his innocence and just because he is not working right now does not mean that he’s been canceled.
He was cancelled people. Not by everyone, and not for forever, but sadly he was initially cancelled, and hasn’t recovered yet. No one is saying he should have ever been cancelled, but he clearly was. I hope he gets full justice.
Justin cannot be cancelled bc he was wronged who could work under his current situation… this has to be finished before he can focused on something else… no no no we want to see Justin work! Who’s saying that Blake bots!
I think being 'cancelled' means the public has turned on you, not Hollywood. I think Justin is actively avoiding taking on any roles or projects so that he can prove damages in his Defamation case against Stephanie Jones. He is choosing to avoid public appearances as well. I don't think Hollywood has turned its back on Justin, I think he's thinking strategically. I agree with the user that you mentioned, by constantly putting out the idea that Justin is cancelled, you are enforcing this narrative. I don't appreciate your black and white approach to this concept of 'cancellation' nor your angry tone when someone has called you out on your aggressive position on the issue.

I believe he was cancelled because he was fired, lost his agency, had an award taken off him, and hasn't worked since. I think now the truth has come out he's now on pause.
However, after wayfare wins the trial I believe he'll gradually be uncancelled/unpaused (I sure hope) and will get his life and career back, and BL and RR will be cancelled.
This is why people shouldn't be punished over allegations, before the accused has had a chance to defend themselves or the allegations have been proven to be true.

So according to Dave's argument Baldoni is unemployed. But unemployed does not mean cancelled. People do not hate him. Unemployed means unemployed, cancelled means cancelled. The thing that makes Dave so irritating TO ME and makes me not pay much attention to him is this kind of clickbait narratives where he will just bend words and meanings and use an unclear word salad to defend some idiotic argument just for the sake of being contrarían but so cowardly unclear that makes him irritatingly uninteresting. So yeah although this time I clicked I for sure will not do it again.

Dave, yes, Justin has lost work and been consumed with this legal case for quite some time now, and he has proof of defamation and loss of work and loss of an award….but he is not canceled, his career has been put on temporary hold and will resume once this legal case has come to an end in May.
I wish it wasn’t so.
But I agree that Baldoni has been cancelled. He has had no new projects since the allegations were raised, and no new projects have been announced.
I hope this changes. I support him in principle and would gladly support any box office projects associated with him. But unfortunately, and so unfairly, at this moment, Baldoni appears to be cancelled. 😢

Baldoni was the Producer on Scarlett Johansson’s Directorial debut movie. Released in late 2025.
Fascinating Ryan Reynolds projects have been put on hold, including a animated movie from 2024 that has had it’s released date pushed back several times, with a soft release date now of sometime in 2027 😂😂😂😂😂

Justin has NOT been canceled. He could not be actively looking for work bc of this case. ALL of that was before evidence against Blake was presented
There needs to be a word for someone who's been temporarily cancelled or shelved vs. someone who's permanently or at least long-term – e.g., Kevin Spacey – cancelled. Baldoni has a lot of supporters, but Hollywood (WME, et al) is Reynolds-centric even though their careers and movies have been stalled too. "In limbo, temporarily cancelled, sidelined, etc." That's Baldoni. He's also legally muzzled as the former defendant who still has a lot at stake come the court date in May.
I've been following this ridiculousness from the beginning and the ONLY person who has ever "seen themselves in her story" was amber heard. Please correct me if I'm wrong.

It seems to me that “x is cancelled” is taken to mean “by everyone/the majority” but “y is cancelling x” is limited to whoever y is so isn’t taken as objectionable. So the Justin supporters say, “I didn’t cancel him!” and “Hollywood didn’t cancel him, only abc did” and so on.
Hire Justin Baldoni, the world will support and watch whatever he does!

I think everyone else is just saying going forward the public is not seeing him as cancelled because we are all on his side. I would say blacklisted rather than canceled but you could call it semantics. Blacklisting is a direct result of the damage that Blake, Ryan and even Taylor have done. Cancellation I would associate as a direct result of wrongful behavior and usually driven by the public. Justin does not seem like the type of person that would throw himself into another project while this is still going on. I think people react strongly to hearing that he will never work again because they hate the idea that Blake and Ryan would win in destroying not just an innocent persons career but a good person.

I suspect that saying ‘xyz is cancelled’ could be seen as a call to discontinue support of that person. For example – someone mentioning wanting to see a Armie Hammer move on Instagram and the response comment is ‘ugh, don’t you know he’s been cancelled?’z The way you are saying it, however, is just a statement of fact (or opinion) and not a reminder to others to not support Baldoni. Maybe that is where that commenter is-coming from?
I agree that Baldoni is cancelled but only by the professionals in the industry, as in he will have a hard time to get work or they will wait for some time before they hire him. But I don’t agree he’s been cancelled by society as a whole. I think that’s what most people consider when they think about “cancelled” – does the general public still like this person? And I think the answer is mostly “yes” and they want him to be exonerated, AND I think it’s also true that professionally the industry will not associate themselves with him for some time unfortunately.

Blake Lively is no victim, one of the content creators she subpoena only had one subscriber. This woman is so entitled, mean and a Bully. She did this because she wanted to punish the content creators for telling the truth and Ryan Reynolds isn’t innocent in this either. Then they wonder people why people dislike them. Justin is a good man and his religion is not for hate and evil, it’s for good and kindness. Now he can sue Blake Lively because he has lost jobs and she has wrecked his life with deformation, Ryan Reynolds too.
