I’ll never forget when my friend and I watched Captain marvel and we both loved it. She then dated a guy who hated her and suddenly she hates her now.
It’s so dumb. Meanwhile Captain America is a pathological liar in his movie who insists on fighting in a war when he could still be productive in a war without trying to physically fight. Being a chef would have helped so much more than being a twink in a war (joking). He lies his way in and then takes steroids to impress a woman.
As compared to Captain Marvel who had an entire arc about unlocking her humanity and identity after years of brainwashing, and having the humility to accept fault and make amends.
Also the way she acquired powers was way more heroic than taking steroids.

For as long as I live, I’ll never understand the angry online psychosis around Brie Larson for simply existing.
