indian/pakistani people acting like the majority of them aren’t dark skin is so funny.

What a weird tweet by the original poster. No.

Wait, are those pictures meant to represent *dark-skinned* Indians?
Typical delusional bigots I guess, but still…

For those who don’t know “kamwali bali” as the user refers to means servant/housemaid (derogatory)

Tbh of the Indians represented on western media (which is not many tbh), they are way darker than the average Indian on Indian films

I’m south Asian. None of those four women even look alike or have the same “phenotype” or whatever. Still the post says they have a “servant” phenotype?? Geraldine is even very light skinned, lighter than most south Asians. It’s ridiculous. The post must be by some pale or deluded Pakistani/ North Indian who thinks they’re better than everyone else and is used to bollywoods light skin bias lol.

I had to look up “Kaamwali Bai”, which means Maid in English.
I agree with Supriya. What a hateful, ignorant take.

I completely avoid The Pitt fandom and just enjoy the show myself because fuck me media literacy is *dead* and you *can* watch a show incorrectly and so many of them do. and they’re WILDLY racist while pretending to champion woc

For people not super familiar with India –
All four of the actresses in the post are Tamil-origin (I believe) which is the Southern India and the term kamwali bai means “house maid”.

which desi is surprised by the original tweet? Desi men and bots will tweet shit like this all day. Apparently the desi representation should look European. And if it looks actually desi let’s denigrate them by calling them dark skinned and comparing them to house help cuz it’s a giant conspiracy in Hollywood. I’m tired. Supriya was much politer than I would’ve been.
