As someone who gets lonesome if I take an overnight business trip without my dog, I couldn’t imagine 10 days. Being able to Snapchat my fiancee’ and show my face on camera is awesome, but I still want nothing more than to be next to them.

I believe the dog is absolutely excited she’s back. But it’s going straight for the other person again and again 😭 I don’t know much about dog behavior, though. Is the doggo just so overwhelmed with excitement it doesn’t really know what to do about it? lol

My favorite thing about dogs is she could have gone to space or the grocery store and she would still get the same greeting for both.
Speaking as someone who has never been to space of course, just as someone who has a pup. We’re all astronauts in their eyes.

I wonder if going to space would significantly impact smells, just curious if a dog could detect it and how they interpret it.

This is love from this dog. Sees the guy, realizes mom’s home, gets so excited, grabs a toy (either to share or play), and sprints around like a crazy beast. For many dogs, this is their version of a hug ([since dogs don’t necessarily love actual hugs](https://www.psychologytoday.com/us/blog/canine-corner/202405/new-research-confirms-dogs-really-dont-like-being-hugged)).
