I use to love this dude. Then… well we all know what happened. He isn’t a philosopher, he’s a comic and he forgot that in his bubble.
It would be the perfect time to bring the show back, but I hope he’s gotten much more resistant for public backlash because every episode will be placed under a microscope even if doesn’t touch on the hot button issues he milked to death in his specials.

I saw Dave do a small set like a decade ago in Buffalo. It was a great show, pretty sure I laughed so hard I cried. That said…I’m not sure a show by him would be as funny as the original episodes. Time, place, and message lined up perfectly before. Now…I’m not too sure. I’d tune in but not in confidence🤷🏿♂️

I think at the time it was funny as humanly possible. But I don’t think it can carry over to now. To try and bring it back might get a few laughs but it would be like a bunch of the redo shows and movies, shit.

Him trying to do a new Chappelle show season would be hilarious, because I think it’d be terrible, because a show like that is going to get farmed online for every off color joke, out of context clip and line that’s ever spoken. I truly do not know if he even has the talent to come back to something like Chappelle show and not just dig himself into an even bigger hole. But if he does, he’ll get paid, that’s for sure, and he’ll probably not care too much about the public discourse around him.

I would love to see a revival. I disagree with him on a lot politically, but he is an incredible artist and I disagree with most artists I love politically. So what? Good art is good art!
