**Edit: Iron Maiden & Joy Division/New Order have also been elected**

Sade hasn’t recorded or performed in over a decade and is rarely seen in public. So it will be interesting to see if she attends.

Phil Collins is going in for the 2nd time, as he’s already in as a member of the band Genesis. This time, it’s his solo work that gets the recognition

Some of those who did not make it this year

    > Jeff Buckley, Mariah Carey, the Black Crowes, Melissa Etheridge, Lauryn Hill, INXS, Pink and Shakira.

    > Another ultimately unsuccessful nominee, the 1990s R&B group New Edition, won the hall’s fan ballot with more than a million supporters. But that result counts as only a single vote in the hall’s larger balloting.

Wait, Wu Tang Clan is rock music??

Feel like I’m taking crazy pills anymore…

Oasis and Phil Collins being elected in the same year is lmmmmmaaao

Noel is going to have a FIELD DAY with this. Now that he and Liam are back on good terms and Noel has got a specific kind of swagger back? I’m praying for poor Phil! 😹

  4. Just call it the Pop Music Hall of Fame and induct everyone that has sold over 20 million records or streams and call it a day.

Aretha Franklin, Marvin Gaye and Sam Cooke were literally three of the earliest inductees and they’re all soul/r&b artists.

The fact that it’s 2026 and adults are still whining about non rock and roll artists getting in is ridiculous.

I’m ok with all of these. I’m glad Phil gets to experience this, I worry about him and his health. He is the GOAT tho
