How Meghan Markle & Prince Harry’s Australia Trip Follows In Princess Diana’s Footsteps

Meghan Markle and Prince Harry are following in Princess Diana’s footsteps. On April 14, the Duke and Duchess of Sussex began their four-day visit to Australia with a stop at The Royal Children’s Hospital in Melbourne, where they were welcomed by hundreds of patients, their family, and staff. The visit comes over 40 years after Harry’s parents, Princess Diana and now-King Charles, spent time at the hospital during their own tour of Australia in 1985. In photos captured that day, Diana can be seen chatting at the bedside of one young patient, as well as strapping a young girl into a car seat during a safety demonstration, as Charles watches.
