Last night, the New York City premiere of Brunello Cucinelli’s documentary, Brunello: The Gracious Visionary, doubled as a Dawson’s Creek reunion. Attending the event together, Katie Holmes and Joshua Jackson seemed to have made up for their on-screen prom disaster (IYKYK) with a glamorous and heartwarming black-tie moment.

Dressed in Brunello Cucinelli, of course, Holmes showed out in an effortless yet sparkly ensemble. On top, she went with an asymmetrical, off-the-shoulder white button-down shirt, styling the classic piece with a black bra that peeked out from underneath. Finished with slouchy, sleeves and structured, elongated cuffs, the shirt was tucked into the shimmery piece of her look: a high-waisted sequin skirt.

Crafted in a deep charcoal gray, the maxi skirt was covered all over in embellishments that created an intricate, shiny texture as it reached the red carpet.

Next to Holmes, Jackson added a pop of color to the mix with a bold red suit jacket. He grounded the statement piece (and matched his date) with a white dress shirt and gray trousers. To finish it all off, he popped on a little matching bow-tie.

The Dawson’s Creek co-stars have been busy working on their forthcoming project, Happy Hours. Written and directed by Holmes, who also stars alongside Jackson, the film began filming last year. Its premise? Young loves who reconnect later on in life. Sounds familiar.

Directed by Oscar winner Giuseppe Tornatore, Brunello: The Gracious Visionary told the story of the Italian designer better known as the “King of Cashmere.” In addition to Holmes and Jackson, the premiere brought Naomi Watts, Martha Stewart, Oscar Issac, and more to the David Koch Theatre at Lincoln Center.
