We need to adopt the “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” mentality again for these little inconsequential things
I’ll raise you for Smart Fridges. *Nobody needs a camera in their fucking fridge!* Occasionally forgetting to check if there is still mustard left *is not that big a deal!* It’s part of life, it doesn’t need fixing.
This shit is just an excuse to target you with more advertisement.
The door handle thing is genuinely dangerous if you’re trying to get out of a car in a life or death situation.
Snl just did a bit about car door handles and I absolutely couldn’t agree more
I get why QR codes instead of physical menus at restaurants might have seemed necessary at the height of the pandemic. They are NOT needed now and I will die on this hill!!
caleb is always a joy honey!
Watched for a full 30 seconds before realising that wasn’t Bowen Yang’s causally exposed belly button
I want my electronics go ‘ker-chunk’ again!!! I want ‘clickity-clackity’ buttons!!! I want to know if they’re working by noise/ touch/ sound!!! Stop “optimising” shit by taking away things that are deemed “unseemly” by dudes in suits who wouldn’t know a mix tape if it hit them in the fucking face!!!
There hasn’t been any real innovation for decades. This is just tweaking shit, so they can charge more.
I’m fucking cackling
blackberry, dude is delusional.
I think I’m too poor to understand the car door handle thing lol. My 2014 Chevy impala could never
Same with changing car consoles from physical knobs and buttons into touch screen everything!! It’s actually so much more dangerous that car shit is all digital now. Give me a knob that I can use without looking instead of multiple screens I have to go through to get to the right thing!
He cooked and I agree with the sentiment also
Welcome to “enshittification”
Agreed on all points lmao. ESPECIALLY the Blackberry. I still mourn mine.
I love Caleb, but I can’t really stand Las Culturistas. It is the epitome of entitled rich gays.
NO NOTES!
This guy has a hard time getting around, and in and out of things while drinking his diet cokes all day is what I got from
This.
The button thing is so valid!!!! I was watching Fifth Element the other day and every futuristic technology still had buttons. I thought it was funny but that’s what we thought the future would’ve been like. Innovations like flying cars and stuff, but still having buttons and knobs to turn on radios, start cars, brew coffee, etc. It’s like we’ve become obsessed with screens and not having buttons, and then when the screen breaks it’s so much harder to fix. Ugh.
Fuck your “multifunction button”. I just want to be able to press a button and have my TV go off. If I have to caress the button in just the right way to get the TV off it’s not going to happen, as my wife will tell you, I’m bad at it!
I think about the blackberry like Rose thought about Jack from titanic 😭 I’ll never let go 🥀
I enjoy comedy that makes me laugh. Calebs “bits” are just passionate complaints. I genuinely don’t understand why his content keeps making it to my eyes.
I work for Snap-on and it’s not a perfect company by any means but one of the things I really love about it is that they really have not changed their designs for products for decades. Wrenches, ratchets, etc dont need to constantly be updated. They found the perfect designs for them decades ago and they’ve just figured out the manufacturing side to keep it consistent. There are still other tool manufacturers today who sell wrenches with outright poor design and intention.
There was a whole SNL sketch Song about this recently. I think in the Connor Storrie episode
He’s right, it’s called enshittification. All innovation is geared toward making things worse or spying on people
Nobody outside of bougie LA and NY restaurants has any trouble getting a diet coke lol
