They don’t have to be alive currently either like Marilyn Monroe. Their names just live on in pop culture and entertainment history. Or they can still be active and crushing it.

I’m surprised by how long Ryan Gosling has been around. He’s only 45 and has been in the industry for as long as I can remember. It’s seriously impressive that he’s the face of one of the biggest movies of 2026 and he was on The Mickey Mouse Club way back in the 90s. On top of that, The Notebook was huge and it’s been over 20 years since that’s come out. Not to mention Barbie along with other hit movies in-between. I really can see him still being active in big movies 20 years from now as well. There’s not that many people that can claim to be as relevant as long as he has. He hasn’t needed a comeback or career resurgence either like Brendan Fraser (no shade I promise). His star status has been incredibly consistent throughout time. 🌟

  1. Ryan Gosling came up recently during a party and everyone at the party had a different favourite movie they’d seen him in, and everyone knew all the movies mentioned. I feel like that says a lot about how varied and stellar his career has been.

I always enjoy seeing him act, but somehow I still never really think about him as soon as the movie is over? I feel like he’s so talented yet so lowkey. I don’t know anyone who has Ryan Gosling as their favourite actor, but many people will adore a movie he starred in. He’s like the staple food of actors, dependable and well-loved.

Taylor, obviously, is the main character for two decades straight, Rihanna doesn’t even need to perform to still be that girl, Leo gets all of the best scripts and just starred in BP winner and Madonna of course. I mean, bitch, she’s Madonna

  3. I learned the other day that Rihanna has the 3rd most monthly listeners on Spotify rn, and the most of any female artists. Her catalogue is still insanely popular

I’ve seen some people say his latest album was meh/underperformed, but I think Bruno Mars generally fits. I mean, there was an almost ten-year gap between the 24K Magic album and his latest (although Silk Sonic was halfway in between), but he still had massive hits like Die With A Smile and APT. Plus the fact that his discography is actually pretty small (four albums, all of them 30ish minutes) in comparison to how many gigantic songs he has. Sure, he’s not a tabloidy/personal life type celebrity, but I think people will always want to hear his music and performances.

Big Mac! I know he’s super picky about his roles, but adult Mac was awesome in Saved, Party Monster and Red Tide (AHS)

Taylor Swift. 2 decades and counting of being super relevant. These days she’s arguably the biggest popstar alive. Enough said.

Miley Cyrus should get a mention because I still remember when she was in her Bangerz era how all possible media were saying how it’s the end of her career. And she is still madly successful all those years later with Flowers and Grammy for example.

JLo. Not a good actress or singer. But boy has she made a name for herself.

Harry Styles is doing much better than it were expected when One Direction called it quits.

Growing up, I LOVED Ryan in a kids show called Breaker High. Really funny and he really stood out. I can’t believe he’s been around that long 🔥

  12. Jason Bateman. Little House on the Prairie is a classic, Arrested Development a cult classic, and I’ve really been enjoying the darker stuff he’s been doing recently.
