When I tell you I LIVED for this in my late college years at this same time. It was so iconic 🤌 Saw her in concert in Miami back then (funnily enough, Jason Derulo opened for her lol).

To me, her debut will be something to remember for a lifetime. She was so fresh and mysterious at the same time. She really was/is ahead of the curve. The Fame and The Fame Monster were cultural resets.

I’ll never get over that iconic dress in 7 and those sick crystal shades. Her VMA’s performance of Paparazzi during this era is still a core memory forever etched into my mind

  4. The last pic is peak late 2000s i was obsessed with this lipgloss look but never could pull it off myself 🥀

  5. The world was not ready for her. She was so ahead of the time. I remember thinking she was the coolest ever while watching Poker Face MV.

I still remember the “This is Lady Gaga wearing pants, your argument is invalid” memes 🥲

I remember the first day Just Dance came out as a single. I was like “who is *Lady Gaga?*” I bumped to that song but I had no idea how big she and that song would become. There were so many similar pop acts at the time doing the “weird electro pop” thing. But she had the vocals and Just Dance, LoveGame, Paparazzi, PokerFace blew up. Plus her music videos really set her apart from the rest of the pack.

ETA: her performances were iconic too.

Still my queen to this day. I was a little scene kid and she was just so amazing to me.

Went to the first run of The Fame Ball and she spoke about supporting the gay community; even trans rights if I remember right. In 2011! I cried. She’ll always have a special place in my heart 🫶🏻

This was a mood. Ugh, I wish I could have been 1/10 of her aura

I was 6 feet from the stage while she played her bubble piano in her bubble dress in a club in San Francisco. I was 22, drunk and in pop nirvana.

I really wanted the same shade of lipstick she has in pic 5. That look with platinum hair and hot pink lips for me is so iconic of the time. Probably got a MAC one. It did not suit me at all…

The hair bows had a chokehold on my cousin and I and Everytime she stayed over we would try to recreate them.

I was 18 and in Heaven (in London, gay club, not actual heaven) when I first heard Love Games and every went absolutely mental and took of their tops, threw glitter and started raving and there was me, little poorly dressed girl from a rural place, just moved there for uni, with my jaw fucking dropped. I turned to my friend and screamed at him “DID SHE JUST SAY SHE WANTS TO TAKE A RIDE ON MY DISCO STICK????!!!!” it was genuinely life changing. I’m not exaggerating.
