Season 1, Episode 3: “Guinevere”
The Context:
In this scene, Morgan Pendragon (played by the iconic Eva Green) is testing her power as a ruler. A mother and father come to her with a custody dispute. The mother has raised the boy alone for seven years, while the father—who abandoned them—now wants the boy for free labor on his farm.
Morgan sets a “trap” by offering to buy the boy as a servant. The mother is horrified, but the father immediately begins haggling for a better price in livestock. By bartering his own son, he proves he doesn’t love the boy, leading to Morgan’s cold and legendary verdict: “You bartered your son for nothing. You’re not worthy to be called a father. Get out.”

She didn't just give the child back; she destroyed the father’s dignity in under 60 seconds. 👸🏻🔥 Who do you think was right here?
I wish they would do something like this in modern child custody arrangements. Men with NPD only want the kids to punish the mother and avoid childcare payments.
What a tedious feminist reframing of the story from the Bible. Solomon did it better.
Damn what a queen!
It was a test I see. Kinda low for a father to try and deal animals for his son.
Sounds like a show written by a female, cos no father who loves his son would ever do that.
Wait milk? The dad came back with the milk?
It's just a retelling of King Solomon
I wan to live in this kingdom of queen. ❤
Damn I love Eva Greene – what movie is this?
Just like King Solomon who was going to cut a child in half and then the real mother screamed no don't cut my baby you can keep the baby you can keep my baby just please don't hurt my baby and then that's when the king knew that it was her baby not the other lady.
💅🏻🔥👏🏻
King Solomon already did this.
Never once did the Father Say he loved his son or misses him. He though only about himself.
Ah, the good old King Solomon trick to really see who's worthy of the child. Well played.
The biggest mistake in human history is women’s suffrage.
Lies even back then. Women ruin everything
Milk bribe worked
the queen did a Solomon
Reminds me of the story from the Bible about King Solomon. Very similar. 👏 Sometimes the mother is best for the child. Sometimes the father. But both is best. At this time he’s too young to go with his father. But one day he needs to go so he can learn what it took, especially during that time to take care of himself and provide. Life was much different back then. I know some mothers don’t agree or understand, but his father was tough because men had to be back then and he needed to pass that strength/hardness down to him. 😔
"Just cut the child into 2!"
This Queen is as wise as King Solomon 🤴 😊😊😊
What is this movie's name?
A mdern day twist on the King Solomon story, minus cutting the child in half. 😂
