Have a small tat for my kid and we got it together when she got hers as an adult.
The concern of them going out on bikes made me want to give my kiddo a phone. She had a cheap one on wifi only forever & I gave into my fears in middle school. We need it, her after school time changes last minute daily!
Choose your battles.. hair seriously isn't something I would stress about..
my son is 12 and still doesn't have a phone 😂
“Matching tattoos with your kid as they step into adulthood—that’s not just ink, that’s a lifelong bond you chose to wear proudly.”
I agree
flip phone not smart phone but in high school
That was me… I was the one screaming. 😅
Unpopular opinion here @2:57. Im of the thought that hair, clothing and music are very much personal autonomous expressions of the self. That we shouldn't police them as much as inform them. Hair is a very personal expression and kids should be allowed to explore how they want to carry the hair on their own heads. Color, hair style etc. That said, you can teach them about how their choices will also affect their environment and when that should and shouldnt matter. You can then compromise with them. For example, you could: allow them to experiment with hair dye at 15, but have them do it only during summer and not while school is in session meaning you wont have to be upset at bringing your blue haired unicorn child to grandmas for Christmas dinner or have to hide school pictures because you cant bear how they ruined your perfect aesthetic! Lol. (In the end thats what parents really care about, more than anything substantial cause hair dye is mostly harmless). Give your kids the freedom to explore and experiment and they will be more open to receiving your guidance and instruction. ❤
