Patrick Muldoon Honored By ‘Days’ Co-Stars Lisa Rinna & Alison Sweeney After Sudden Death

Patrick Muldoon is being remembered by his “Days of Our Lives” co-stars following news of his sudden death. The actor’s manager confirmed to Variety that he died on April 19 at age 57. His passing reportedly came after he suffered a heart attack, according to Deadline and TMZ. The late star was best known for his work on “Melrose Place,” “Starship Troopers” and the long-running soap “Days of Our Lives,” where he played Austin Reed from 1992 to 1995. After news of his passing broke, it didn’t take long for his “Days” castmates Lisa Rinna and Alison Sweeney to share tributes on social media, sharing kind words and recalling their favorite memories with the late actor. Rinna, who played Muldoon’s sister Billie Reed on “Days” shared a throwback photo of the two on her Instagram Story with a broken heart emoji. Meanwhile Sweeney, who has played Samantha Brady, on the soap since 1993 wrote in part on X, “This is such heartbreaking news. Pat was a rare kind of person—brilliantly talented, endlessly kind, and generous in spirit.”
