I love how Alyssa says AI will not take people's jobs—that is laughable because it already has. And AI knows it. I asked AI how many jobs will be lost due to AI and it said tens of millions by 2035. A few years ago there was a congressional hearing about AI and developers of AI were telling the government that the AI industry needs to be regulated if they don't want huge job unemployment in the country.

The panel does not know anything about the dangers of AI. Only rich people like Reese Witherspoon who has a buck to make by exploiting new technology are supporting AI. I’m with Whoopi, all the signs were there and we still decided to open the door. Also, jobs are limited and have no pay. Minimum wage is ridiculous and the rich are getting rich. They’re using these bots, for customer service, restaurants and factory work. Why would anyone think pushing Ai is smart?

I've been in AI for ten years. These ladies have NO IDEA what's happening in AI and what is coming. Brace yourselves. ChatGPT is a GenAI gimmick compared to the real AI solutions that are being built.
If you want a dumber human race, use AI. If you want to have no water to drink or to flush your toilets with use AI. If you want to pay higher taxes without any income to support AI data centres in your area use AI. If you want your local and federal governments not to provide any services because your income is gone and they cannot collect taxes from you then use AI. If you want to lose your job use AI. If you want your children to be lazy, stupid and dependent on algorithms to just exist use AI.
AI is about controlling humans, their bank accounts and their behaviour. We existed for thousands of years without it and we don’t need it now. I don’t care what I read on AI, it’s not always accurate and it has no moral compass. AI is corporate greed and only makes billionaires richer. The people working in AI will find themselves out of a job when it no longer needs them to operate it. We’ve reached a Thelma and Louise moment and I fear the world is going to drive off a cliff instead of turning around. Finally, don’t listen to actors for advice on your future.

I don't know what Reese Witherspoon was talking about for the context of "It's Time" for women to learn AI. But I will say, women should be learning art, science and technology because they are underrepresented full stop and technology permeates our lives. Is technology just AI? Not really, but it's there nonetheless to help you write a cogent email. It's totally ok not to engage AI if that is not your interest. Technology is not for the faint of heart, but it is moving swiftly.

AI is the settler colonial mission into our minds, to control EVERYTHING. AI also has a delay in memory, controlled by the CEOs or board or whatever. It is primitive because it can't actually deal with real world data, live data. AI is just google 2.0.

When I see people making these little short youtube videos using AI with characters that don't exist, I'm thinking that can't be a bad thing. I've written a lot of short stories I'd love to see brought to life with AI, meaning no studio execs having to hit the green light, just do it.

It’s very naive to think AI is our friend. Bernie Sanders is fighting the building of data centers. He says the oligarchs and predatory elite will use it to control and enslave humanity.
There are no guard rails currently around AI .so yes AI definitely is replacing jobs until our government put safeguards around AI. It’s gonna be a bad thing. It could be a wonderful tool if used for the right things with the correct safety measures.
