Dove Cameron is very beautiful, and I’m a fan of hers. I’m inexplicably a sucker for the Descendants franchise.
That said, she is an example of “you’re not ugly, you’re just broke,” since she’s had so, so much work done. Again, she is very beautiful, but.

This whole “beautiful issue” reminds me of Halsey’s last album promo where she impersonated musicians she was inspired by, hope they invite for this photoshoot too

While this person is beautifully created by multiple surgeries, it’s a slap in the face to showcase this to the world and further mess with young girls self esteem.
One of the funniest parts of getting older is feeling like you have a strong grasp on pop culture and then out of nowhere you get hit with headlines like this and have absolutely no idea who the person is the headline is about. I looked her up and I still don’t know who she is! I am aware of some of the projects she was a part of, I guess but damn. Good for her, she sure deserves it but damn, way to make me feel like a dinosaur.
Is making expressions not in vogue right now? This is a genuine question. All photo shoots have these amazing clothes, locations / sets and but only 1 face that is very very expression less.

She’s pretty according to our fucked beauty standards, but what does it mean when it was purchased via cosmetic surgery? She’s sculpted so closely to western beauty standards that she has actually become generic and bland, imo.
It’s like the difference between store bought cookies and lovingly homemade cookies. I’d rather have the wonky homemade cookies any day. They’re simply more interesting.

She is actually not my kind of beauty but. To each their own. Not saying she’s ugly, just … meh.

Her fiance Damiano is the natural beauty in their relationship.. he really is so striking.

This whole comment sections is awful. Everyone is always talking about how beauty standards are so fucked up and it suck’s that women have to change themselves. Especially when young. But then, you have people in these comments picking at her for the surgeries she did and not looking how they, total strangers, think she should look. It’s utter bull shit. You can’t cry about how women are affected by crazy beauty standards and then talk about a woman who was affected by cray beauty standards like she’s an object to tear apart.
