*From Far Out Magazine’s Tom Taylor:*

Adam Scott has shared his experience of attending Coachella, describing the festival as largely unenjoyable — with one notable exception.

Speaking about the event, Scott said he “hated everything” about the festival environment, from the scale and atmosphere to the broader culture surrounding it. However, he singled out The Strokes as a highlight, praising their performance amid an otherwise negative experience.

His comments reflect a wider divide in how Coachella is perceived. While it remains one of the most prominent music festivals in the world, it has also faced criticism for its size, cost, and reputation as a social media-driven event rather than a purely musical one.

That tension — between spectacle and substance — continues to shape how the festival is discussed, even as major acts like The Strokes draw strong reactions from fans.

Adam Scott does the rare thing of complaining about something only after having experienced it firsthand

  3. Coachella can join Burning Man as a once amazing event that is now lost to posers and douches posting on Insta.

  4. As a midforties music fan – a festival of that size, price, hassle… more than happy to watch on my couch. I had my fun back in the day, thankfully

    Why did you go then?

I mean it looked like shit to me, but that’s why I didn’t go.

  6. All I see is people complaining about Coachella every year. Maybe don’t go if it’s that bad. Like no one is forcing you to go. No one is forcing you to look at Coachella content if you don’t go. In fact I’d never know about it if it wasn’t for the constant complaining. Also if you’re part of the entertainment elite maybe stop whining and organize your own “better” festival.
