Prince Louis is officially 8 years old! On April 23, Kate Middleton and Prince William celebrated their youngest child’s birthday by releasing his latest portrait. In the snap, Louis, who wears a royal blue zip up jumper, stands in front of the sea as he grins at the camera with his arms crossed. His beaming smile shows how his teeth are growing in after last year’s portrait displayed him partially toothless. “Happy birthday, Louis! 8 today!” the Prince and Princess of Wales captioned the picture alongside a balloon emoji. Though Kate often captures her children’s birthday portraits, the couple noted that the image of Prince Louis was taken by photographer Matt Porteous. It was also reportedly taken aboard a boat during the family of five’s vacation earlier this month in Cornwall, according to the Daily Mail. Plus, Kate and Will additionally released an adorable video of Louis playing at the beach as they thanked everyone for the birthday wishes and added, “8 is great!”
