Alexa Miller’s 3-year-old daughter, Rylee, wants to grow up to be just like Jenna Bush Hager.
Rylee is so enamored with the TODAY with Jenna and Sheinelle co-host, she begged her mom for months to let her get her hair cut in a Jenna-style bob.
“Rylee has been watching the TODAY show with my dad, her PawPaw. My parents have babysat for her since she was 2 months old. She and her PawPaw watch the show every morning,” Miller, of Petersburg, Indiana, tells TODAY.com.
Miller, who also grew up watching TODAY with her parents, says it began months ago when Rylee’s grandmother asked Rylee if she wanted a haircut.
“Rylee said, ‘I want my hair cut like Jenna Bush’s,'” Miller says with a laugh. “She knew her name. She really loves Jenna.”
Miller shared the story in a TikTok video along with before and after images of her little girl’s adorable new hairstyle.

Jenna famously got her now signature bob in June 2025 live on TODAY. That March, Jenna had expressed her admiration for “White Lotus” star Leslie Bibb’s short hair, calling it a “cultural moment.” When Bibb returned to guest co-host TODAY with Jenna & Friends, she brought along her stylist, Chris McMillan.
On June 16, McMillan started the haircut on the show, and Jenna debuted the sleek, A-line cut to the world the next morning.

Rylee’s stylish bob emulates Jenna’s, with the exception of one detail: Rylee has bangs.
Turns out, Rylee, who starts pre-school in August, got too impatient to go to a hair salon, so she took matters into her own hands.
“She had a little hiccup. She tried to cut her own hair,” Miller says.
In her TikTok video, she wrote Rylee had whacked a “chunk” of hair off.
Bangs were needed to “correct the problem,” Miller says.

The whole family adores Rylee’s new look. “I love it. I think it looks so good.”
Rylee also loves it. “I look just like Jenna!” her mom recalls the little girl saying when she first saw herself in the mirror.
Aside from spending her mornings watching TODAY, Rylee’s hobbies include playing with her dog, Oreo, and going on tractor rides with her PawPaw.

Just like Jenna, she also loves to read, Miller adds.
And Rylee’s bubbly personality could make her a natural — just like Jenna — for a morning show broadcast, Miller says.
“She’s very people-y and friendly,” Miller says. “And she doesn’t know a stranger.”
