Be honest… who was the most beautiful in her prime?
Marilyn, without a doubt, but in the first shot as an adult with her own style, not in the second as a teenager styled by others. Next to her, everyone else pales – as Wilder put it, "Nobody else is in that orbit; everyone else is earthbound by comparison." However, I must admit that Margot has exceptional charisma and personality. She is a phenomenon, just like Marilyn, and the differences are mainly due to the time difference, 60 years. As Miller said about Marilyn: "Her beauty shines because her spirit is forever showing itself". Beauty of those two is a spiritual phenomenon, their physical features may be not perfect but it doesn't matter. Ultimate beauty is what one does.
