Storage Wars star Darrell Sheets, who was pronounced dead at 67 years old on Wednesday, April 22, filed a police report after allegedly experiencing cyberbullying.
After TMZ broke the news that Lake Havasu Police in Arizona said that Sheets seemingly died from a self-inflicted gunshot wound, The U.S. Sun reported on Thursday, April 23, that Sheets filed a report with the Lake Havasu Police Department in January, claiming he was receiving online threats.
LHPD Sergeant Kyle Ridgeway confirmed to the publication that Sheets’ death as well as online harassment claims he made are “currently being investigated altogether.”
Ridgeway added that the department is “aware of the cyberbullying accusations involved in this incident, and these claims are a part of the active investigation.”
He reportedly couldn’t comment further because the investigation into the reality star’s death remains ongoing.
Storage Wars costar Rene Nezhoda shared a video message after Sheets’ death, encouraging authorities to look into the claims he made on social media regarding the alleged cyberbully attacks.

In a March 11 Facebook post seemingly made by the late Sheets, the reality star shared photos of the person he claimed to be bullying him, writing, “Well people here is my cyber bully stalker just letting people know if anything happens to me this him.”
“This has been going on for 3 years with him and the things he says are very damaging,” Sheets added. “This is a felony called cyber bullying.”
In a March 9 post, he wrote, “One again people of Havasu, I have been hacked by a very evil person.”
The fan favorite reality star became known as “The Gambler” after joining the A&E TV series in 2010.
As previously reported, law enforcement officials responded to a report of a dead body at Sheets’ house in the early morning hours on Wednesday, and he was pronounced dead at the scene.
According to People, authorities said Sheets’ death is under active investigation and asked for anyone with information to call 928-855-1171.
