Thanks to Nikki Glaser’s Golden Globes monologue, everyone now knows that Leonardo DiCaprio’s favorite food is “pasta, pasta, and more pasta.” DiCaprio apparently enjoyed that joke quite a bit, because he later sent Glaser his version of “pasta, pasta, and more pasta” to say thanks.
During the monologue, Glaser made a crack about DiCaprio’s string of 20-something girlfriends, then apologized for the cheap joke, saying it’s really the only thing anyone knows about him. “The most in-depth interview you’ve ever given was for Teen Beat magazine in 1991,” she quipped. “Is your favorite food still ‘Pasta, pasta, and more pasta’?”
Recounting the story to Jimmy Fallon on The Tonight Show, Glaser said that after her awards-show hosting gigs, she sends flowers to everyone she joked about as a token of her appreciation. After the Globes, she said, DiCaprio was the only person who sent something back. “He sent me three baskets of pasta as a ‘thank you,’” Glaser told Fallon. “So funny. So good.” She joked, “And part of me was like, ‘Does Leo want to smash?’”
So now we have two confirmed facts about DiCaprio, rather than just the one.
