Patrick Muldoon’s death is something no one saw coming. His final hours on earth appeared to be filled with excitement and happiness, unaware of what was to come. Patrick’s sister recently shared the soap star’s last video online.
In the clip, he is at the opening of the David Geffen Galleries at the Los Angeles Museum of Modern Art. He appears in good spirits as he discusses the artwork and shares a few laughs. His sister Shana paid tribute to him earlier this week.
The actor died at age 57
By the looks of it, his last day on earth was a rather joyous one. In Patrick’s final video shared on Shana’s Instagram account, he notes a painting of Saint Ignatius of Loyola’s Vision of Christ and God the Father. This prompted him to recite a chant from his high school days. The actor attended Loyola High School in Los Angeles as a youngster.
In her emotional post, Shana called Patrick “The best brother / son/ uncle/ anyone could ever possibly ask for.” Shana adds that there is much more about him she must share. That said, Shana admits that she is still processing everything which transpired. Hours after that video was initially taken, Patrick lost his life. He was 57.
News of Patrick’s death is likely still surreal and shocking to his family. He died suddenly on Sunday at his home in Beverly Hills. She says that his girlfriend discovered him “unconscious on the bathroom floor.” Patrick had apparently just had coffee with his girlfriend before going to take a shower.
Patrick first gained notoriety on the soap opera Days of Our Lives, portraying Austin Reed. Before that, he appeared on some episodes of Saved by the Bell and Who’s the Boss. His final television appearance came in 2025 on Double Scoop. Three movies are coming out in the future that feature him, including Stay at Home, which is in post-production.
