I’m currently reading Schindler’s List and this will be next. The movie absolutely destroyed me.
She is definitely a great actress
I was confused because one of my favourite books is Le Monde de Sophie and I always thought this was the movie adaptation of the book and therefore never watched it. TIL.
The book is a masterclass in how the structure of a story is so important. I recall reading that Joan Didion’s husband read it once a year to admire how it worked.
This is lovely. Meryl seemed genuinely moved by the cllip. I hope she reaches out to the actress who played her daughter and they reunite.
