Nawazuddin Siddiqui is by far the best actor in Bollywood. His range is incredible. And his performances are so great. Even when he was just getting typecast in very minor roles, he always shadowed the leading actors on screen.

Priyanka Chopra doing yellow face for Mary Kom biopic. Many similar cases.
I mean, isn’t that a whole thing in India regarding a preference for “fair skin”. No surprise its Entertainment leans into that.

I have stopped feeling bad for Nawaz ever-since misconduct allegations came against him from multiple female actors.
Lets not forget he had to literally stop the sales of his biographies after two women came forward had said he had written stuff about them in absolutely salacious ways that was not even true.

Yeah colorism is a HUGE issue in India, and on the Subcontinent generally.
And who do we blame for this, children?

Mindy Kaling is a good exception though western so doesn’t count I guess?
my man from a Netflix show I can’t remember the name of was really dark, s1 was great then S2 was good but I think it got cancelled. I remember he got a hand cut off by the villain’s gang, iirc. it was subtitled or dubbed. iirc his best friend got murdered. it’s from like a decade ago

They don’t even cast dark skinned actors for roles that actually require them to be dark skinned.
Eg: HR in that biopic, Bhumi Pednekar in Baala.

racism is a big issue. yes it is.
but this guy is a big creep incel. not a decent guy in any sense.
It is not racism but colourism with a mix of classism and casteism.
