My grandfather walked me down the aisle when I got married he was so swamped so Devon in his tuxedo and he was such a proud, proud granddad. I feel so honored to have him in my presence and one of my cousins Daryl recorded it and I had no idea that the recording existed until he sent it to me several years back. I broke down and cried for days. It was such a beautiful gift for my wedding. The best gift I ever got.
And yes, my grandfather passed many years ago, but I had that memory forever captured in my mind and seeing him smile walking me down just makes me tear up to this day
