Exponentially worse now, not just because AI makes it easier for these images to be created (and now by literally anyone), but you have shit like Twitter actually enabling and encouraging that shit (including with minors).
This is so heartbreaking and visibly still affects her till this day 💔

This is why I have said and I will forever say:
We need to eventually phase out child actors. I do not care how many safety regulations, safeguards, unions, etc we have for child actors. They shouldn’t exist.
We don’t say, “hey, let’s find ethical ways to have children bus tables.” We simply say: no, not at all.
A literal child is not capable of consenting to what being a celebrity means. You cannot tell little Mara, “hey, before acting. We wanted to make sure you are aware that people will make CP of you since you’re a little girl.”
Hell, I don’t think I can fathom what fame is like an adult. How are we supposed to expect children to be able to consent to this?
If you need children in a show, make them cartoons. Idc. Figure it out.
Replace can happen with WILL.
Any production that involves kids now should have a department dedicated to protecting them from this stuff.
And make it a crime already!!
