Every time I start to read a headline that begins with “Sir David Attenborough” I get scared/sad that this global treasure of a man is sadly mortal.
That caiman had it coming.

Honestly the guy who handed him the gun basically shot that dangerous animal, through Sir Attenborough’s hand. If I’m out in the field and my guide says so, it gets done if it’s a quick decision. Sounds like a troubling memory and cool for him being public but he basically did the smartest dumb thing.
Same. Think of it at 64. Shame.
It was a long time ago David. Time to let it go.
Even Steve Irwin killed feral pigs (croc bait). Of course they are an invasive species in Australia.
