Shannon Elizabeth joins OnlyFans: Why the actress said she did

Shannon Elizabeth, known for roles in “American Pie” and “Scary Movie,” has launched an OnlyFans account after saying Hollywood “controlled” her career.

Shannon Elizabeth’s move to OnlyFans is already paying off in a major way.

The actress, best known for playing Nadia in “American Pie,” has earned seven figures on the platform after launching her page on April 16, according to multiple media reports, including Variety, People and Entertainment Tonight.

Variety cited comments from Creators Inc. CEO Andy Bachman, Elizabeth’s manager, who said the “Scary Movie” actress earned $1.2 million during her first week on the platform.

USA TODAY has reached out to OnlyFans about the reported earnings amount, and to Elizabeth’s representatives for comment.

Elizabeth, 52, rose to fame in the late 1990s and early 2000s with roles in “American Pie,” “Scary Movie” and “Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back.”

Ahead of launching the account, she told People that she wanted more control over her career after years in Hollywood.

“I’ve spent my entire career working in Hollywood, where other people controlled the narrative and the outcome of my career,” Elizabeth told the outlet. “This new chapter is about changing that, showing off a more sexy side no one has seen, and being closer to my fans.”

What fans are seeing on Shannon Elizabeth’s OnlyFans?

In her OnlyFans bio, Elizabeth says subscribers will see “the side of me that doesn’t make it into movies – more playful, spontaneous, and completely unscripted.”

She adds that the page includes behind-the-scenes and candid moments, conversation, and “exclusive” photos and videos.

“If you’ve ever been curious what I’m really like … You’re about to find out,” the bio states.

Elizabeth also told People magazine that OnlyFans is the “future” of creative agency.

“I’m choosing OnlyFans because it allows me to connect directly with my audience, create on my own terms, and just be free,” she told the outlet. “I really do think this is the future.”

She also told Entertainment Tonight she was surprised by the early success.

“I don’t even know what to say and so humbled by it. And for me, it was just all about sharing and connecting with the fans. I never expected this to happen,” Elizabeth said.

Shannon Elizabeth OnlyFans joins a growing celebrity trend

Elizabeth joins a list of public figures who have turned to OnlyFans, including Carmen Electra, Bhad Bhabie, Mia Khalifa and Drea de Matteo.

Despite the new venture, Elizabeth said she remains based in South Africa and committed to her charitable efforts, which she said remain close to her heart. Fox News also reported she plans to use some of the money she has earned for the Shannon Elizabeth Foundation, including a gala this summer in Las Vegas.
