      after teenagers, women in their 40s have the highest rates of unexpected pregnancies cause they dont realize you can have a fertility boom right before menopause

      My (very alcoholic) grandmother had a baby at 47 in 1955. This has been happening a long time. Change of life babies.

      This happened to my aunt at 45. She had been trying all 17 years of her marriage with no luck. She now has an 11 year old firecracker of an only child that keeps them young.

      I wonder why quotes were put around ‘surprise’ and ‘unexpected’ as if most 46 year olds would be caught a little off guard to realize they were pregnant

      Daaaaaaang I’m old. I still remember her as a young ingenue in Lust, Caution but forget that was almost 20 years ago 🙈🙈

      As a fellow 46 year old this is a nightmare for me! I wish her all the luck and happiness and strength and resilience to do this at our age.
