The Musical’ after breaking up with boyfriend Klay Thompson, who she accused of cheating. “Hotties, my last performance as Zidler in @moulinrougebway will be May 1,” Megan—who was initially scheduled to end her run on May 17—wrote on Instagram. “It’s been such an honor to be part of thee ‘Moulin Rouge’ family and I’ve met so many amazing people in this theater!” She continued, “Y’all work so hard and I have so much respect for the dedication, the stamina, the work ethic, the time and the effort y’all put into the work. Yesterday was completely in the wrong yesterday. On my original comment, I posted a statement that I thought Megan "should push through and continue" her performance schedule. However, as a woman who has lived long enough to experience life, I feel I should not have said that at all. It is unfair of me to expect a young woman whose life is 100% in the spotlight all the time to behave as a SUPERHERO. By doing so, I was denying her humanity and the grace to heal while in emotional turmoil. In doing so I was literally doing the very same thing that Black male critics, who are slandering her are not allowing her: which is to be human. SHE IS HUMAN AND WORTHY TO BE SO COMPLETELY.
