Day Shift (2022) is a Netflix action-horror comedy about Bud Jablonski, a San Fernando Valley pool cleaner whose real job is hunting vampires for cash while trying to hold his family together. Jamie Foxx leads the film, and the whole story keeps coming back to one simple problem: Bud is good at killing vampires, but terrible at working inside the system.
In this scene, Bud brings in a fresh set of vampire fangs expecting a decent payout, only to watch the money get shaved down by codes, dues, processing holds, and one ridiculous membership fee after another.
