The average life expectancy is mid to late 70s. That means that child will likely lose one or both parents while he/she is still in their 20s. I know they have (or should have) the funds so child doesnt have to worry about their parents health declining, but still the mental toll it has on a child to have older parents and siblings vastly different in age…makes this not fair at all.
Having children at such a late age is another level of selfish and should not be normalized

I hate how things like this make other women think they have the luxury of waiting to ttc. Speaking as someone who couldn’t get pregnant at age 33. Granted, most women will be fine, but some will not. You don’t know which category you’ll fall into, and that likelihood increases the older you get
I had my kids late, and when my dear friend had both of hers in her 50s (alone!), I was gobsmacked. And again, this is coming from a person that had kids in her 40s.
But my friend is in better shape than me, her grandparents just started dying off at around 100 and has she has tons of money. So thereâs that.
