    1. > “Dolls: We want to share an important update with you,” the group’s social media message began. “When we announced the PCD FOREVER Tour, we hoped to bring the show to fans across the world. After taking an honest look at the North American run, we’ve made the difficult and heartbreaking decision to cancel all but one of the North America dates.”

I loved them 20 years ago but I don’t see how anyone thought they would be good sellers now.

    3. CazMiniMini on

It’s cool that they admitted the reason why they cancelled. Usually there’s a lame excuse given.

    4. PaleontologistNo5420 on

Damn. Recession indicator if I’ve ever seen one. I’m keeping track of the cancellations/ So far, just this year we’ve had:

      Meghan Trainor
      Post Malone
      Pussycat Dolls
      The Rolling Stones
      Zayn
      Kid Rock
      I-dle (K-pop)
      Kid Cudi (partial)
      Demi Lovato (partial)

Any that I’m missing? ETA: Adding as they’re commented

It’s hard to afford concerts. Especially pop concerts which are basically Broadway productions with the level of staging, dancers, etc. that drive up the price.

Idk what PCD specifically were planning with their show, but it’s a thought I’ve been ruminating on.

    6. Very sad, but refreshing to see a real explanation and not a random excuse. Maybe they will come back with smaller venues.

We be pushing on that cancel button baby, gotta push on that cancel button. MAGA Trash

I mean… they could’ve been more realistic about themselves and just booked intimate, stripped down shows at mid-sized venues – you know, similar to the original Pussycat Dolls revue concept that gave birth to the group.

    9. I literally called this LAST week! I appreciate their candor regarding the cancellation. Most artists typically give some silly excuse lol.

    10. stbrigidiscross on

It would have been ambitious for a full lineup of Pussycat Dolls to try and sell out venues of that size but as a trio that nobody has seen perform together it seemed really unwise. I feel bad for Mya and Lil Kim who were scheduled to be support acts.

    11. primal_slayer on

      A. They were far too expensive

      B. You should’ve started out doing something a little bit smaller

I love me some pcd but you aint no spice girls

But I’m interested in the differences in ticket pricing overseas compared to here

    12. Shanntuckymuffin on

I don’t understand why these groups aren’t settling for the casino circuit and killing it there….

    13. Lilylikeslilies on

I saw somewhere comment that they are selling nicely European leg as expected maybe not full sold out but enough to go with the plan. Sometimes bands are just one continent thing and that’s also okey.

    14. SirRichardLove on

We can’t afford tickets right now.

      We have

      Expensive healthcare

      Expensive gas

      Expensive groceries

      Expensive rent/housing

      Expensive bills and ultilities

And lack of programs and support from our government because Republicans are just the worst.

    15. CoherentBusyDucks on

Literally just said yesterday I’d respect the artists more if they were just upfront about not selling enough tickets instead of making up an excuse so honestly…

some group/artist who wasn’t before, is gonna cancel now.. because that’s how exposure and profits works (?)

    17. stripeyspacey on

Honestly, props to them for being transparent. Not that they technically owe us anything at all really, but it’s silly to pretend anyone with half a brain doesn’t see right through all the PR talk about why something was cancelled.

Transparency goes a long way. I wasn’t really interested in attending their tour, but honesty like this definitely goes in favor of me reconsidering if they gave it another try (ya know, assuming the economy isn’t still the dumpster fire that it is now).

    18. CaliforniaSun77 on

Finally, someone is honest about why they are cancelling as opposed to flimsy excuses.

    19. Ilovethe90sforreal on

I KNEW this would happen. Trying to revive something long over, with only half the girls. Loved them at their peak though.

    20. salutdamour on

I’m not surprised. The tickets prices were extortionate for who / what they are. They needed to be half the price to get people out for nostalgia

    21. chad_michael_mudface on

Well, most people can’t afford to live anymore so makes sense that they’d prioritize, gas or food or rent over a pussycat doll concert 🤷🏽‍♀️

    22. Beneficial-One-2666 on

A judge found Live Nation and its subsidiary, Ticketmaster, operated as an illegal monopoly. So maybe ticket prices will go down

    23. princessjamiekay on

Here comes the recession. I hope yall are ready. Every time we get a republican president. Every. Time.

    24. Ok-Turnip-9035 on

They needed the one who had the vocals and wasn’t afraid to show ‘em

    25. I saw Nicole S at a benefit earlier this year. It was free but her alone I would pay to see, she is a great entertainer and vocal range is out of this world. But don’t think I would pay for the whole ensemble.

    26. Plus-Mulberry6761 on

Woah no way. I went to see them in an arena tour in early 07 – Rihanna was the support act!!

    27. Since_The_Ducks_Left on

Every tour has been canceled lately. No one can afford these freaking crazy ass ticket prices. Read the room

    28. I wish the artists would start pushing for other avenues for ticket sales. Ticketmaster’s monopoly is the cause of all these cancellations.

    29. TheBearQuad on

I didn’t even hear the newest single. But I will say that ‘React’ is an absolute bop. Shame it came out as we were locking down.

    30. Independent_Judge647 on

Recession or not pcd would have canceled. No one wanted this.

    31. For_serious13 on

I hope artists start realizing they’ll sell out if they lower prices

However I’m not sure it’s really the artists driving the prices

    32. Aggressive_Agency381 on

When are rich people going to understand that if you bleed people dry for so long they eventually have nothing left to give.  Wealth hoarding is bad for everyone.
