Every action sequence was storyboarded to showcase a different skill set, Jolie dismantling a security detail in a stairwell, Theron outmaneuvering a convoy using nothing but traffic patterns and timing, Johansson walking out of a vault with the target drive while the owner is still shaking her hand. This Charlie’s Angels reboot concept was built on one idea: you don’t need to announce power when every person you are standing with is already the most dangerous one in the building.
