Hold On To Your Angels
“Hamnet” duo Paul Mescal and Jessie Buckley will reunite on screen for “Hold on to Your Angels” which has been written and will be directed by “Beasts of the Southern Wild” filmmaker Benh Zeitlin for Plan B and Rapt Film.
Set on the edge of South Louisiana, the story follows a hell-bound outlaw (Mescal) and a ferocious shepherd of lost souls (Buckley) who fall in catastrophic love as their crumbling bayou paradise drags them under. The film is being sold at Cannes. [Source: Deadline]
Homewrecker
Alison Williams (“M3GAN,” “Get Out”) and Michelle Randolph (“”) have joined the sci-fi survival film “Homewrecker” from filmmaker Xavier Gens (“Under Paris,” “Lupin”). Elisa Bell and Travis Gordon penned the script while Denise Di Novi produces. Filming begins mid-July in France.
The story follows three star-crossed Americans suddenly forced to work together to survive a terrifying, unexplained global event that threatens to destroy life as they know it. “A Quiet Place” and “10 Cloverfield Lane” are said to be inspirations for the film. [Source: ]
Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2
Cold Iron and Daybreak Games have revealed the trailer for “Aliens: Fireteam Elite 2,” a sequel to the 2021 third-person co-op shooter game which arrives on PS5, Xbox Series X|S and PC this Summer.
Players squad up in teams of four to coordinate and eliminate Xenomorphs on the planet LV-558. The game will support full crossplay between PC and consoles, has a Horde mode with its own maps, and introduces the customizable ‘Specialist’ class which can mix and match abilities from other classes.
Ray Gunn
After decades of development, “The Incredibles” director Brad Bird’s $150 million animated noir meets retro-futurism tale “Ray Gunn” arrives on Netflix later this year and now a new piece of art from the film has been released.
Sam Rockwell, Scarlett Johansson, and Tom Waits lead the voice cast of the film that will screen its first footage at the 2026 Annecy International Animation Film Festival.
