Eli calls on Taylor Swift to advocate for restructuring of major labels and streaming services to give songwriters, particularly females one, equitable pay

Eli is right, and her album is great. TSwift is one of the few pop stars who actually has enough power to influence those studio execs & streaming companies.
Good for her for speaking out even with all the hate she’s getting and the transphobic response to her earlier comments.

Eli’s entire platform has always revolved around her political stance in favor of anti-capitalism & queer/minority communities. Call-ins for action cannot also exist without criticism of the figure being called in. I think she nailed her approach. I also appreciate that this call to action aligns with her criticism of how Taylor has wielded her power in the music industry, and outlines how much change she could be effecting if she used it in a just and moral way. Fedoras off to Eli! 🙂↕️✨

She’s too busy covering her own ass at every turn and trademarking her image and likeness against AI instead of using her power and leverage for collective good and protections.

I can’t stand that fandom. Toxic to the core.

Can someone TLDR the “never be trans” thing? I’ve never heard of Eli before and I can’t find a breakdown of the context of the original quote aside from Swifities being angry about it.

She is asking for $0.30 per stream so a 1 million stream song = $300,000 payout right?
Some of the top songs on the charts right now have ~400 million streams which = $120 million.. Justin and Dominik Fike each have songs on the chart rn with over 1 billion streams, which is $300 million+ payout per songs. That’s a lot of $ :0

I’m convinced, I gotta check Eli out now. She sounds like an awesome artist from what I’ve heard over on the other post.

This feel as delusional as people saying she could influence a presidential election, she boycotted them once for a few years and failed?
