John Cena is set to break “some history-making news” at WWE Backlash in Tampa, FL. In a video published to Twitter/X, Cena stated that he has “a major announcement that is going to shock the very foundation of WWE.”
According to WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, the internal belief is that Cena’s appearance at Backlash is connected to the upcoming launch of Club WWE. Expectations for the new initiative are said to be high, with one source noting that having Cena positioned as the face of the announcement gives it a major boost.
When asked whether the announcement could be related to a WrestleMania location reveal, the response was, “Probably not.”
