The singer paid a visit to celebrity artist Bang Bang for new ink “designed by” her kids

Rihanna’s kids will be with her every step of the way.
One of the many things the beauty mogul and singer is known for is her collection of tattoos, which she just added to with a meaningful piece of work done by celebrity artist Keith McCurdy, who is also known as Bang Bang.
In an Instagram post shared on Friday, May 8, Bang Bang included photos and videos giving a close-up look at 38-year-old Rihanna’s new body art, which was “designed by her babies” in reference to her children.

The tattoo is simply a replica of scribbles done by her little ones and is on her lower leg behind her knee. The original artwork appears to have been done in colorful markers on a piece of paper also decorated with Paw Patrol stickers.
Bang Bang has been working with the “Umbrella” singer for decades. In a 2018 birthday tribute, he reflected on their longstanding collaboration.
“Your co-sign of my s— for the past 10+ years has changed my life. It’s been my privilege to decorate you, more importantly it’s been an honor to be your friend,” he wrote alongside photos of himself doing the star’s back, chest, neck, ankle and finger tattoos throughout the years.

Rihanna is mom to three children: sons RZA, 4 this month, and Riot, 2½, and daughter Rocki, 8 months. She shares her kids with partner A$AP Rocky.
Recently, she and the rapper left their offspring at home to attend the 2026 Met Gala, a year after they announced her pregnancy with Rocki at the same event. The pair closed out the red carpet on May 4, continuing their tradition of being fashionably late.

Rihanna turned heads in a dramatic Maison Margiela gown, which was really more like a sculpture with its jewel embellishments and three-dimensional silhouette. She also wore 40 Jennifer Behr wire curls in her hair. Meanwhile, Rocky appeared to pay tribute to his new role as girl dad, decked out in a baby pink Chanel coat adorned with a feathered brooch. He paired the statement outerwear with a bow tie and loafers.
Rihanna also stopped on the carpet to chat with Today with Jenna & Sheinelle co-host Sheinelle Jones. In their now-viral interaction, the Fenty Beauty founder told Jones, “You deserve to be poured into. And you’re beautiful, you’re a Black journalist. And I respect you. I love you for this.”
