Bollywood actress Ameesha Patel, who is known to us for films like Mahesh babu’s Nani and is once again making headlines, and this time it is for her outspoken views on the film industry, her career journey, and her surprising family connections.

In a recent interview, Ameesha sharply criticized the growing fake PR culture in Bollywood, taking an indirect dig at younger actresses who, according to her, become superstar after just a couple of average films. She stated that genuine stardom comes only through strong box-office success and long-lasting audience love.

The actress also opened up about replacing Aishwarya Rai in Mangal Pandey: The Rising. Ameesha revealed that Aamir Khan was impressed by her intelligence after watching one of her interviews, which eventually helped her land the role.

She also recalled how she missed out on Lagaan because the makers felt she looked too educated for the character. Adding another interesting layer to her story, Ameesha recently revealed her family’s close ties with the Gandhi family.

The actress shared that former Prime Minister Indira Gandhi personally played a role in fixing her parents’ wedding date.

From calling out Bollywood’s PR machinery to revisiting career turning points, Ameesha Patel has once again proved that she is unafraid to speak her mind. She gave a big hit in Hindi with Gadar 2 but is now out of work as of now.
