Particularly awful in Elvis’ case because he wrote precisely 0 notes. in his entire life. Unfortunately, this happens all to often in the contemporary music industry (it was more rare then).
She’s so graceful and kind and classy. Here she is describing a situation which is objectively exploitative and disrespectful, yet she keeps giving them the benefit of the doubt and doesn’t say a single negative word. I’m glad you didn’t let them screw you, Dolly. It all turned out for the best because of it.
