When I was a kid me and the homies were playing cops and robbers around the projects we lived in. I used to get skinny jeans at swap meets 3 for 25$ and after a wash it 2 they’d shrink tooooo tight. I feel that sometimes "eras" can also be environmental. I grew up in California, I'm going to be 26 and skinny jeans were really popular when i was in elementary school so maybe about 2007. And that lasted for YEARS. Only until about 2016 and upward did it progressively become unpopular with the boyfriend jean and "mom" jeans. Skinny jeans are going to come back. Trends are similar to lice.
Okay I’m 24 and i definitely remember wearing skinny jeans throughout middle and highschool. Which was 2014-2019. I will say that skinny jeans had multiple trends that evolved through the years. So depending on the type of jeans from 2008-2013 skinny jeans were usually low-mid rise but mainly mid-rise, and then somewhere around 2014, that’s when high rise skinny jeans started phasing into the mainstream. Like I remember all the tumblr girls fashion accounts were like filled with outfits with high rise skinny jeans. So her assistant is either lying or is talking about the older skinny jeans style that no one seems to remember.
I'm mid 30s, colleague just finished high-school, manager of the store is 2 years older than me. My colleague's MOTHER is my age. Her FATHER is the manager's age. Me and manager was making unfunny jokes and she literally said it feels like hanging out with her parents and both of us felt like throwing up and dying and we just walked away feeling nauseous
