This 2027 concept trailer reimagines Gremlins as a full-scale cinematic reboot that blends horror, comedy, and holiday chaos in a way that honors the original while dragging it into a modern setting with real stakes and a cast built to carry it. Dwayne Johnson takes the lead as a protective single father and small-town mechanic who brings home a strange, adorable creature called a Mogwai as a last-minute Christmas present for his daughter, not knowing that three simple rules are the only thing standing between his family and a full-blown monster invasion. Scarlett Johansson plays the town’s no-nonsense sheriff who starts the night handling parking violations and ends it leading a desperate fight for survival as the entire town descends into green-skinned pandemonium.

I personally created every storyboard and visual element in this “What If” concept trailer from scratch, building a small-town Christmas setting that goes from cozy and snow-covered to absolute destruction one broken rule at a time. Elle Fanning brings warmth and curiosity to the role of the daughter who bonds deeply with Gizmo before the midnight feeding unleashes a horde of cunning, vicious Gremlins that take over everything from the local movie theater to the town’s power grid. This trailer was designed to capture the perfect balance between genuine scares and dark humor that made the original a classic, while giving a new generation of audiences a fresh reason to remember why you never feed them after midnight. Every frame was crafted to deliver a wild, visually thrilling ride that fans of creature features and holiday horror have been waiting for.
