“nice things” also aren’t exclusive to capitalism, people will always find ways to solve problems, be productive, make art, etc. living under the constraints of capitalism probably actually hinders all of that for many people.
Not everyone gets to live like us in the west unfortunately, and even if we tried the earth would be completely destroyed. In the end, there will always be a permanent underclass…
We can also enjoy luxuries and nice things under socialism/communism too. They’re not mutually exclusive.
