Boots Riley (‘I Love Boosters’ writer/director) calls out a bias reviewer for Slant Magazine who gave his new movie 2 stars. The reviewer previously wrote Boots Riley was a “mental deficient who will smile and nod at any vaguely leftist dictator or terrorist PR statement.”
“Leftist dictators!” they shriek in a country where the tiny few who own all the capital crush everyone beneath themselves, and manufacture consent for war and imperialism.

I wish Boots would get off social media and just do his thing through his film and whatever else media he chooses.
I see him interacting with complete randos on twitter (often positively, but occasionally also needlessly feeding the trolls) and I worry it’s going to destroy him. I know he needs to promote him work, but internet is not a healthy place for discussion — or anything, really.

Been waiting for a new Boots movie since Sorry to Bother You. Looking forward to this one, regardless of any biased reviews.

Keep in mind when looking at critics, a lot of them are weirdos with little to no taste, even if they’re not reactionary zionists with an axe to grind like this guy.
I have a lot of family and friends that seem to base everything they want to do on Google or rottentomatoes reviews and it just gets tiring, maybe it’s giving me a complex lol

Feel free to email comments@slantmagazine.com to ask they retract this review.
Wow! Zionists lying. I’m so surprised!
(Can’t wait to see this movie, btw)
Wow, so the author sought out Boots to try to bring him down because of his pro-Palestine views. Zionist playbook.
Eli Friedberg, aren’t you embarrassed?
