I honestly don’t think there is anything she could do that would ever convince the general public they aren’t involved in some capacity, so why not just live her life.

Even if she stopped being so close people would just claim they finally “broke up”. It’s a lose lose at this point. If they are casually involved, clearly they don’t want it to be public. If they aren’t, they are just very close.

Honestly if she chose him as a sperm donor I get it. Even NDAs don’t stop people from talking so I would choose someone from that world if I was in her position.

I must say, after like two decades of this . . . I find these two to be exhausting.

If my father pretended to be my uncle cause he didn’t want to claim my mother and preferred much younger white women I would perish. I feel bad for the kids.

I feel in the minority in thinking he is not her baby daddy, that their on/off relationship being the base for Ryan and Kelly was greatly exaggerated and they were probably not that serious when dating, that they probably are just friends now and Mindy isn’t secretly pining over him but instead keeps her relationships private and that she doesn’t answer for a few reasons: she doesn’t owe anyone an answer, it’s none of your business, and even if she flat out denied it (which I feel like she has said things that contradict him being the baby daddy) you all would still be like “lol don’t believe her” so it’s completely useless.

People will believe it because they want to, it’s juicy, and without knowing these two individually it’s very relatable scenario.

People need to leave her alone. She’s a successful woman who wanted children and 99% chance is she used a sperm donor to achieve her goal. I don’t understand why people can’t grasp that. She didn’t have to be with anyone to have kids!

Ok so she didn’t say that he’s not the father of her kids. She said they are not currently dating, and she is single.

I’m not sure I’ve ever seen the will-they-won’t-they branding tool taken quite this far before, but this is a smart lady and it’s keeping people interested in her life and her work. So…more power to her, I guess.

It’s wild how many people assume she’s the one pining after him and not the other way around based solely on how the Ryan/Kelly dynamic was.

It’s really wild to me how much Kaling changed as a person after reaching a certain level of success after The Office. Her early memoirs and persona were really inspiring to me but these days it’s as if everything I read about her is a little bit wonky or out of touch.
