Rarely pulled his gun on people in 12 years of service as a sheriff in a small town, had most people's number and if someone was just being stupid, he'd call their parents and tell them to get their kids to knock it off. Or he'd basically parent people into turning themselves in or getting arrested without restraint. Some still keep in touch and call him once in a while to talk and thank him for helping them

When I lived in Texas a friend had some property where we would shoot. One day we were shooting Tannerite exploding targets, which are quite loud. The local Sheriff's Deputy came around because the neighbors, a mile away, had called concerned about the explosions. I showed the Deputy what we were doing and asked if he would like to try. He pulled out his M4 and we had some fun for about a half hour. Cops are people too and they like to have fun as much as the next guy.

you should always make an effort to not only know your local cops but make friends of em if possible. Especially if you’re one who views the morality of laws subjectively so to speak 😂
So this reminds me of the local sheriff, so I unfortunately, did get arrested that he can't do anything. But I the laugh because I get walked in, and I'm not in handcuffs, and I'm just chilling with the officers, and a new officer is like, wow, the hell's he's on hoinside. This is David, all he did was drive a little too fast on an empty road and it was fast enough that we can't just not say something. So I mean, I have court, I mean, a little Joe time wouldn't be the first time I've had misdemeanors in the past. For reckless driving, that kind of thing, middle of nowhere. But yeah, so the only reason he brought me in was because a like regional. Because it's CHP a regional officer was with him, and he's like I can't just ignore this dude, even though he's not harming anything, because this regional guys want to make a stink. So yeah, I'm just chilling with. I have court the 21st. So this time will probably be 20 days in jail But I mean, are jail systems overclocked, where i'm at.There's a good chance it go home. Or it's do the oil changes on all the police cars again?Like, honestly, the amount of times I probably should have been in jail.But most times like, hey, you mind fixing our car, and they look the other way it's fabulous
