Why do I have this strange feeling that, with the introduction of modern tech, this series will end with the toys being “uploaded” like Nintendo amiibos, keeping their personalities, whereby they will then be allowed to be “alive” and interact with their children users in real time?
I can see this being marketed as a “happy ending” because toys no longer have to play dead, and can live in a digital space playing with kids… forever. Black Mirror x Toy Story.
